Benchmark is a global engineering design, manufacturing, test, and supply chain service provider.   The company is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona. Benchmark has 28 engineering and advanced manufacturing facilities in 10 countries across the world and at the end of 2019, employed approximately 10,600 people. Founded in 1979 as a subsidiary of Intermedics, a medical implant manufacturer, Benchmark was sold to Electronic Investors Corporation in 1986.  Benchmark was simply called “Electronics, Inc.”
